Statement

My work is inspired by historical jewellery, antique books and gold-tooled book-cover patterns, the theme of memory and archaeological finds.  Etching allows fragments of historical pattern or text to be reproduced on the metal.  Combining etched panels with simple outlines, I aim to translate these themes into contemporary, wearable jewellery.

I work primarily in silver, frequently combining it with freshwater pearls and semi-precious gemstones.
